Student Placements

Interested in a Student Placement at the TRCC/MWAR?

Come to one of four student placement sessions throughout the year and get info on student placements at the TRCC/MWAR. Sessions include:

• Intro to the centre
• What you can expect from working at the centre as a student placement
• What we require from students at the centre
• Get your questions answered and not have to worry about an interview!

The student placement sessions are a place for women to get to know the centre and learn about the student placement experience.

Every year, the number of placement spots changes however we range from 6-8 student placements a school year (September-April). We also offer summer placements.

There is no interview process however students will be selected to do a placement. The sessions provide a space so we don’t have to compete with each other through the classist interview process and we can learn about the centre as a survivor-led organization!

Sessions happen 4 times a year, please email to confirm that you will be at the next session. You will not receive a call back but rest assured, your name will be on a list of student attending the student placement session. Please remember to include: Your name, which session you will be attending, your school, and when your placement starts (i.e. September, January or May).

Student Placement Sessions are in the months of: March, July, October and December. Sessions happen on the 2^nd Wednesday of those months.

If you are interested in a student placement but cannot make it to the session, you will not be interviewed. Please try and make it to the following session of the next sessional month.
